The Philippine College of Optometrists (PCO) is the leading peer recognition body in the Philippines dedicated to global excellence in education and practice of optometry. Since 1998, PCO has been advancing the science and practice of optometry in this part of the world.
The PCO is honored to host the 7th Asia Cornea and Contact Lens Conference on March 3-5, 2010. In behalf of its Board of Trustees, I am inviting you to the 7th ACCLC in the Philippines.
There are many reasons why you should attend this conference. These include:
Great topics, speakers and workshops: This year, we will zero-in on promoting corneal health by preventing corneal resistance to contact lenses; on managing existing corneal structural disintegration by suitable therapy using scleral contact lenses, collagen cross-linking, and stem cells; and on using contact lenses in controlling myopia progression, using ortho-K, multi-focal contact lenses, and wavefront technology.
We have invited prominent scientists and clinicians from Asia, United States, and Australia to share with us their expertise on the above-mentioned topics.
We have included workshops on corneal integrity assessment, orthokeratology and punctum plug insertion.
Awesome venue: We have chosen Shangri-la, the best hotel in Asia, situated in one of the best beaches in the world, Boracay. Shangri-la Boracay Resort and Spa commenced operations last March 2009. It has superb conference facilities, complete amenities, great ambiance, and excellent services. You can enjoy island hopping, nature trekking, water sports, golf, exquisite spas and Filipino massages, among the many activities available on the island. You can scuba dive or engage in ocean floor walking and have the chance of viewing one of the most diverse marine life on earth. In addition, you can bask in the serene natural beauty of seven kilometers of the finest white sand in the world.
Enjoyable fellowship and the famed Filipino hospitality: We have prepared two occasions for fellowship: the Welcome Cocktails and the Fellowship Dinner and Awards Night at the beautiful Boracay beachfront. You will experience the Filipino cultures and traditions as we feature some of them during the fellowship dinner.
Come and join us to learn, relax, and enjoy!!!
